In the Groove

Jam Session Review for 28th September 2025

After a late start (the Gov can get a tad busy on a Sunday, 19 musos, and for once I am not using the term loosely), fronted for a spiffin' little sesh. Everybody got a go, nothing got broke and nobody died.

So... the Gov is attracting a few long time jammers dropping on to see what all the lack of fuss is about. This week, great to catch up with Ali, last seen at, I think, the Leinster, about a zillion years ago.

And to the music: it behoves us to mention the egregious elements of the arvo, which would include the Good Captain playing rather more than usual, Jeff (sax) in avuncular mood,  Annie (tonsils then drums) in fine form - as we have come to expect and only occasionally to our chagrin), Libby and Rose getting up and dancing, and Adam playing twice as many bass notes as one might expect, but to good effect.

The Good Captain called stumps, Mike, Neville and whoever helped pack up, some of us are off to Canberra for a while, and this is the earliest Newsletter since about 2011

The Groove was definitely in.

Cheers!
