The Last Hurrah at The Cornerstone

Review of the Jam Session, 25th May

The joint is closing. Far from a fin de siecle gloom, this last session started out bright, burned brighter, probably because there were 26 jammers in the mix - more than for quite a while; and then fizzled to a close,  with us  loading up the Mazda and the Ute with gear for the next session ... somewhere else. Props to the affable Jack the Barman for staying the course. The Big C proved a good venue in the main - the Cornerstone Hotel always struggled to draw the locals, but the food and grog was always good, and once we had worked it out, the sound was the best we have had since at least the Post Office Hotel days.
