On a whim

Jam Session Review for 31st August 2025

It felt almost as quiet as the previous week for a while, but this was one of our busiest sessions yet - 30 musos got up and twanged, slapped, tickled, tonsilled, twiddled and... er did whatever it is saxophones do when they are playing the right notes..

Best in class? The Debster sounded better than ever, and if you are sounding as good as the duet from Aneta and Bea you must be doing something right...

For starters? Janet (v) and Frank (g) put up three well practised tunes and sounded pretty good. Come again!

For tops? The lightly battered Roger Clark played sweet, with Larry "the Irish" Keon on drums and Philip Ress on keys.

The Rest? We didn't get any -  it was busy all round

Next week will feature an ensemble of about three, a mournful dog, and quiet desperation amongst the locals. Or not, as the case may be - you would have to be there to find out.

Meanwhile, that was a fun arvo...
