Jam session review (19th November 2023)

Any moment now, the editorial staff at Bendigo Towers are going to start banging on about the Jammers Notoriously Unreliable Pre Christmas Bash, which, if you let it, will completely de-rail Sunday December 17th. You have been warned.

Meanwhile, back at Middle Park's answer to The Ponderosa, a cool eighteen musos had a dip - along with a couple of others who didn't.

As we packed up, and as the sun set on yet another day wasted, it turned out that the bump out crew was unanimous in its selection of Rose as the standout singer of the day. What is the world coming to? One can only conclude that society is to blame, and look forward to her December 9th set at the Challis Street Fandango, which she hasn't agreed to yet. Stay tuned, threats of violence may yet have to be deployed...

As for the rest of the crue, for whom motley is too kind a word, Ivan stood out on bass, Mike Hirsh warbled On The Sunny Side of the Street, Fiona  extended herself on a number of swing and latin toons, of which, Summertime worked best, Jane sang "woke up this morning" and I can't remember the rest of the blues, but rather think it was the usual litany of disasters. And we all went home suitably charged for another week in the salt mines.

A Pleasant, unexceptional, letsdoitagain sort of session.
