Jam Session Review: what didn't happen... January 19th 2025

The extra 3B Reserve Copyboy has spent the last three weeks snoozing away in the lower basement of Bendigo Towers, world headquarters of this august organ, blissfully unaware that the first jam session of 2025 is rapidly approaching, probably with its headlights off. Will anyone turn up (1), and if she does, will she be playing the bagpipes ? (2) And if she is playing the bagpipes, will anyone notice ? (3). And if they do notice, will anyone care ? (4)
To find the answers to these questions, see below, or kindly present yourself at The Cornerstone Hotel, at 3.30pm sharp on Sunday 19th January. If you are clutching your instrument, you will be deemed, de facto, a musician (5) until proven otherwise...

Oh god, we hope not.
Of course. The noise is appalling, but deeply revered by expatriate Scots, as it reminds them of why they left Scotland in the first place.
Will anyone care? The Jam Sessions provide an opportunity for anyone to play anything, and as long as they play it really badly, it will probably fit right in...
"You will be deemed a musician". Jam session musos come in variety of flavours, ranging from pianists who can count up to 88, guitarists who can count up to six of which at least five are often in tune, saxophonists and trumpeters who can count up to one, drummers who can only count by hitting things, and singers who can't count at all, but have a whole band to blame...
They are all unbelievable musicians.
And, after all that, we had to move the session from Cornerstone to the Bowls Club
