Newport Jazz - May 1st and 2nd, 2021
Done and Dusted: So Far, So Good....
The Friendly Festival? The general consensus seemed to be that the Festival was a relaxed affair, a good effort given the pandemic restrictions, and a template for the future. The weather Gods smiled on us all weekend, people out and about, greeting old friends, making new ones, and listening to some fine jazz along the way.
What a joy to be able to stand outside the Bowls Club, and point to all five venues, within 200 yards of each other, to stroll about and listen to Musos variously shaking off the rust, playing out of their skins, and surpassing expectations.
